It's snowing outside. The trees are shedding these white seed-fluffballs that flurry around in the wind and clump together on the ground.

I found myself looking lustfully at a map of the Balkans. Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania. So many exotic places in such a little space.

So little time.

I think starting from here, through Ljubljana and Trieste and then down the coast of Croatia, seeing how far I can get in a week. Then a wedding, then fly home, hopefully through Oslo. I think that covers the people I intended to visit before coming here and will satisfy my needs for mountains plunging into the sea for a while.
