Sunday.
Brunch this morning at Chester's with a big crew. Potato pancakes with lots of sour cream.
Then ran home and then to the bart station to meet Hixie. After the obligatory email and irc checking, we wandered through campus and then to Kingman to visit Ping, who was painting a mural with people and fish on the wall, and then to Wilde where I immediately ran into Tobin and Kenny and lots of other people.
Had mango lassis and naan at Naan 'n' Curry, and then we all went to Moe's and spent the entire afternoon sitting on the 3rd floor reading bits and pieces of books to each other. A conversational Latin guide, psychology books, a philosophy book that carefully defined the difference between "physics", "Physics" and "material", a Russian booklet on bounding some kind of integrals. I bought a biography of Paul Erdos. We covered some theorem of his on graphs in 174 last week. Books make me happy. I keep buying things that I want to read and have no time to do so.
It was dark and raining when we left the store, so we ran home. Short dip in the hot tub in the rain, because those sorts of things are important.
Now Hixie has gone off to hang out with the Mozilla crew, because they're cooler than I am.
Days off are so important.

Darn, I missed my opportunity to meet the famous Mr. Hixie.
