About The Voice
The newsletter is circulated to Schola donors and subscribers, as well as to the singing membership.
I have been writing articles for and editing all articles published in the newsletter since September, 1999. I designed the current layout and do all of the typesetting. Since February 2002 I have also been the acting editor, responsible for determining the newsletter’s content and for soliciting articles. I am a singer in the Schola chorus and do this work pro bono.
The sample edition was published in April, 2004. I wrote a bylined interview with Schola Cantorum's Music Director, Gregory Wait, and Alva Henderson, the composer of a new work commissioned by Schola. I also wrote a summary of Schola's 40-year anniversary events. I edited the remaining material, and took all photographs that appear in this issue.
The newsletter is created in Microsoft Publisher, and is printed on 11" by 17" paper folded to an 8-1/2" by 11" booklet.
Note: I am also a contributing designer and editor of content for the Schola Cantorum website, run by webmaster Stephen Hanna.
